What is Port?

Ports become available when your territory has a coastal border. They extend naval reach. The sea prompt, You reached the sea. Click a distant coast to send a boat invasion, is separate from the port purchase, but a port is how that coast stays useful. A captured port was seen as part of a coastal attack.
